The First Billion Years: Latest Results from the James Webb Space Telescope
Location: Student Success Center 229
Join us for an out of this world experience with UC Riverside Professor of Physics and Astronomy, Bahram Mobasher, who will present the latest results from the James Webb Space Telescope regarding the first generation of galaxies using the deepest images of the Universe going back over 13 billion light years. Reception with light refreshments is at 4 p.m., Prof. Mobasher’s presentation is at 5 p.m., and Highlander Stargazing is at 6:30 p.m. on the Student Success Center Lawn with the UCR Astronomy Club and the Riverside Astronomical Society.

Honorees for this year's black-tie gala are Jack B. Clarke Jr. ’80, Esq., Rickerby Hinds ’94, and LaSharon A. McLean Perez ’04, MFA ’09.

Homecoming 2022 is back on campus in person this year – bigger and better than ever before. We’re excited to welcome you. The University of California, Riverside address is 900 University Ave, Riverside, CA 92521. The campus map can help you find your way to Homecoming events. The main Homecoming concert event will take place on HUB Lawn, adjacent to the Bell Tower, HUB, and Watkins Hall. -

General Parking
General parking is available in Lots 6, 24, and 30, where you can park in any unmarked, unreserved space. Lots are no more than a five-or ten-minute walk to the Bell Tower. Please do not park in reserved, service, or disabled spaces without an appropriate permit.Accessible Parking
Lot 1 has been reserved for guests with disabled plate/placard who will benefit from closer proximity parking to the concert venue entrance and VIP ticket holders. General parking is not available in Lot 1.Please check the campus map for parking lot locations and walking routes to event locations. Directional signage will help guide your way.

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the concert. All bags will undergo a security check upon entrance to the concert venue. Guests may bring empty refillable beverage containers to fill up with water to reduce waste from one-time use cups.Please note that the following items are prohibited: animals except for service dogs, outside alcohol, glass bottles or containers, tobacco products, illegal drugs/paraphernalia, and weapons of any kind, including firearms and knives. UC Riverside is a smoke- and tobacco-free environment. Tobacco, e-cigarettes, and vaping are not permitted on university property, including parking lots.

Limited dining options will be available, including:- Picnic meal boxes are available for pre-order online. Pickup before the concert at The Barn ticket booth. Place your order here. Orders will close Monday, November 14.
- The Habit on campus will be open, located on campus at the HUB 2.
- Inside the concert area, food trucks will provide options for purchase.
- A complimentary water station will be available for all guests in attendance. Guests may bring empty containers to fill up with water to minimize waste from one-time use cups.
- VIP guests will have picnic meal boxes provided for them inside the VIP concert lounge area. No need to pre-order.
