All alumni and their guests* are invited back to campus November 2-4 for an exclusive alumni weekend! Experience college and department interactive sessions and booths, mix and mingle with alumni, enjoy a day filled with a Family Zone**, bar service, Ferris wheel, opportunity drawings, women's volleyball game against UCI, and an alumni only concert featuring TLC!

*Alumni are allowed to bring up to 5 guests who are non-alumni. 

**Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Thursday, November 2

Legacy of Leadership: Panel Discussion with Past UCRAA Presidents
Location: HUB

During this panel discussion, our esteemed alumni leaders will share their experiences, challenges, and successes in leading our Alumni Association. They will provide valuable insights into their respective tenures, shedding light on the pivotal moments, major initiatives, and key decisions that shaped the growth and impact of our association.

This event is not only an occasion to honor the contributions of our past presidents but also a chance for our current students and alumni community to learn from their leadership journeys. The panelists will reflect on their individual visions for the Alumni Association, the strategies they employed to engage alumni, and the lasting legacies they have left behind.

The School of Education will hold an open house for all UCR alumni and friends. They will be offering self-guided tours of their education space and will have current students on site to talk about what is happening with the School of Education this year. Stop by Sproul Hall to see the education facilities, chat with Dean Spencer and other SOE staff, and grab food and drinks before the Homecoming Concert.

18th Annual Spirit of the Tribes 5k
Location: Rivera Lawn

The Annual Spirit of the Tribes 5k is hosted by Native American Student Programs office of UCR and honors the Native American spirit and culture with a Saturday morning full of fun and exercise for students, family, and friends. Fundraising from the event will help support student scholarships.

This year’s new alumni-only Homecoming concert featuring TLC provides an opportunity for the university to recognize and thank key supporters, volunteers, and distinguished alumni.

Special VIP lounge and reserved seating access will be provided during the TLC concert for select groups and their guests.

DJ Alf Alpha (Rafael Lopez '07) is a Coachella artist and famous DJ. He will be providing sounds and entertainment opening for TLC in his Super Sonido Bus.

Jonas Never is a LA street artist and will be on hand doing a live art mural.

  • Where is Homecoming taking place?

    Where is Homecoming taking place?
    Homecoming 2023 is bigger and better than ever before! The University of California, Riverside address is 900 University Ave, Riverside, CA 92521. The campus map can help you find your way to Homecoming events. The main Homecoming concert event will take place on HUB Lawn, adjacent to the Bell Tower, HUB, and Watkins Hall.

  • Where can I park?

    Where can I park?

    General Parking
    General parking is available in Lots 6, 24, and 30, where you can park in any unmarked, unreserved space. Lots are no more than a five-or ten-minute walk to the Bell Tower. Please do not park in reserved, service, or disabled spaces without an appropriate permit.

    Accessible Parking
    Anyone with a placard may park in any disabled space on campus. Click here for a map of where ADA/accessible parking is available. For more information, please refer to our transportation services website regarding accessibility. 

    Please register your vehicle for complimentary parking at alumni.ucr.edu/parking

    Please check the campus map for parking lot locations and walking routes to event locations. Directional signage will help guide your way.

  • What can I bring in?

    What can I bring in?
    All bags will undergo a security check upon entrance to the concert venue. Guests may bring empty refillable beverage containers to fill up with water to reduce waste from one-time use cups.

    Please note that the following items are prohibited: animals except for service dogs, umbrellas, outside alcohol, glass bottles or containers, coolers, tobacco products, illegal drugs/paraphernalia, and weapons of any kind, including firearms and knives. UC Riverside is a smoke- and tobacco-free environment. Tobacco, e-cigarettes, and vaping are not permitted on university property, including parking lots.

  • Are kids allowed to come? Do I need to register them?

    Yes! With a Family Zone we will have a handful of items for families to enjoy. 

    You will need to register them no matter their age. Each child will count as one of your non-alumni guests.

    Please note children under the age of 18 must be with an adult at all times. 

  • What food options will be available?

    What food options will be available?
    Limited dining options will be available, including:

    • The Habit on campus will be open, located on campus at the HUB 2.
    • The Sub Station  will be open, located by the Alumni and Visitors Center. 
    • Inside the concert area, food trucks will provide options for purchase.
    • A complimentary water station will be available for all guests in attendance. Guests may bring empty containers to fill up with water to minimize waste from one-time use cups.
    • Gold VIP guests will have picnic meal boxes provided for them inside the VIP concert lounge area.
