UCRAA Career Services has developed step-by-step guides for every stage of the career development process, available to all alumni and students. From building a career to personal branding and strategic networking, career guides give you modern tools for igniting your career success.

Payal Beri ’09
Payal brings extensive career coaching and counseling experience to her work with clients through her firm I-Connect. She provides career and professional development coaching including networking, career branding, interviewing, career transitions, and exploration coaching.
Diane Dreher ’68
Diane is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and former college professor; she enjoys using positive psychology to help others discover their sense of calling. With her background in leadership consulting, she is committed to helping alumni explore new possibilities and flourish at every stage in their careers.
Andrew Kumar ’11
Andrew is the director of strategic partnerships at 2U. He has worked at Facebook and Google in human resources and recruitment and has extensive experience in online career branding, interview preparation, and negotiation, specific to the tech industry.
Bernice Maldonado ’02
Bernice provides talent development and professional image coaching through her practice Growing Forward. Having pursued her education as a first-generation student, Bernice is committed to ensuring young alumni get high-impact career coaching to ensure their professional success and career growth.
Chaim Shapiro ’05
Chaim brings extensive experience in the career development field, serving both students and alumni in their career development. He's previously worked at various institutions including, but not limited to; Touro College; Pace University, WITS. and Hillel. Chaim has specific expertise in career branding, specifically LinkedIn.
New UCR graduates automatically receive a 1-year extension on all Career Center services (except on-campus interviews). Additionally, all alumni are welcome to attend career workshops and job fairs.

Job openings you submit will be posted on the Alumni LinkedIn Group of nearly 8,000 Highlanders, as well as other UCRAA social platforms. Employers can also post to the Career Center page to reach students and recent graduates.
