UCR is the fastest growing and most ethnically diverse campus of the University of California’s 10 campuses. UCR is committed to attracting the best and brightest students while enhancing UCR’s reputation as a leader in education and research.  Alumni, along with parents of current students, offer their unique perspective on their own UCR experience to prospective students and their parents at various recruitment events held throughout California.

ALUMNI PARTICIPATION DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The “Welcome Reception” student recruitment events provide opportunities for prospective students and their parents to learn more about UCR.  Alumni serve as ambassadors for the campus sharing their positive experiences and memories of UCR.  The interaction with alumni, along with UCR parents and current students, at these events has proven key in UCR’s recruiting efforts.

Be a Speaker at the College break-out sessions
Alumni Speakers are needed for the college breakout sessions at each reception: one alumnus(a) from the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences and Bourns College of Engineering UCR admissions staff are available to assist in preparation of remarks which are to be no more than 5 minutes in length. Topics can include "Why I chose UCR"; "How my UCR experience helped me in my career"; or "Why UCR was the right choice for me".
