Student Recruitment

UCR is the fastest growing and most ethnically diverse campus of the University of California’s 10 campuses.  Even as enrollment records continue to be broken year after year, UCR is still committed to attracting the best and brightest students while enhancing UCR’s reputation as a leader in education and research.  Alumni, along with parents of current students, offer their unique perspective on their own UCR experience to prospective students and their parents at various recruitment events held throughout California.

ALUMNI PARTICIPATION DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The “Chancellor’s Reception” student recruitment events provide opportunities for prospective students and their parents to learn more about UCR.  Alumni serve as ambassadors for the campus sharing their positive experiences and memories of UCR.  The interaction with alumni, along with UCR parents and current students, at these events has proven key in UCR’s recruiting efforts.  In fact, 60% of the students who attend these events ultimately enroll at UCR.
