UCR Alumni Association Announces $2 Million Scholarship Endowment Campaign
In 1976, the UCR Alumni Association wanted to help attract the best and brightest students to UCR. From its pool of membership dues, the Alumni Association began a scholarship program and granted $1,000 awards to six incoming freshman students.
The amount and number of scholarships have grown exponentially over the past three decades. Since the program's inception, more than $1.3 million have been awarded to over 750 students. Providing scholarship support to students is a proud tradition of the UCR Alumni Association. In honor of the 30 year anniversary of student scholarship support, the Alumni Association has launched a $2 million endowment campaign. The endowment ensures scholarship funding in perpetuity and enables the Alumni Association to continue attracting and retaining the best quality students to UCR.

| Student Recruitment |
Help UCR Recruit the Best and Brightest Students
We need alumni volunteers at upcoming student recruitment events held through out California. Alumni serve as ambassadors for the campus sharing their positive experiences and memories of UCR.
The main role of the alumni is to talk with prospective students and their parents about the alum's experience at UCR, reasons for choosing UCR and what their education has done for them. The interaction with alumni, along with UCR parents and current students, at these events has proven key in UCR’s recruiting efforts.
